Alyssa is a Nationally Certified Counselor who has also been around horses for most of her life. She found her passion in teaching others how to ride when she was young and decided to pursue a degree in Equine Sciences. Graduating from Lake Erie College in 2012 with a double major in Psychology, she knew horses could provide a form of therapy and healing. After 5 years of operating a lesson program, she became certified in EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning) and EA EMDR (Equine Assisted Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as an Equine Specialist. She completed her Maser’s Degree in 2018 from Marywood University and is now dedicated to helping others through the healing power of horses and therapy. She specializes in trauma and substance abuse treatment of all ages, working at Marley’s Mission and Marworth Treatment Facility.
